Ever had hosting issues? If so, you'll understand that there is no point in trying to save a few dollars on web hosting since it will almost always come back to haunt you. It is important to make careful decisions about where you host your website and email services. The consequences of a poor host can include site downtime and or email downtime and problems. While we do deal with constantly evolving technology, it is expected that hosting solutions will be considered highly reliable.
Outstanding Customer
Support Our support department was recently nominated and proceeded as a finalist to the local Sterling Awards. We received a Sterling Award for Business Excellence. We respect our clients and take care of them by providing patient, clear technical support and resolving issues quickly and efficiently, should they arise.
Maximum Uptime
Although we have a guarantee in place regarding our uptime - action definitely speaks louder than words. We have maintained above 99% uptime for both our web services and email services since we began hosting websites and applications. This results in maximum availability to our clients.
Accommodating Service Accounts
We have two account types specifically because of the flexibility of our hosting. If a client's needs fall outside of our two plans, we always make preparations to accommodate their needs.
WHAT IS NECESSARY TO TRANSFER MY SITE?
For most transfers, only two passwords and a list of email addresses is necessary to make everything go smoothly.
Hosting Password
We'll need the password to your current hosting account. This will allow us to log in to your current server, retrieve all of the files that form your website and move them to our server (and we'll send you an archive of all the files in your current website). This will not be necessary if you can send us a copy of your website files or no longer need any of the files on the original server.
Registrar Password
We'll need this password to change your name servers at the registrar. When you register a domain name, you do so at the registrar. If you cannot remember your registrar password, we may be able to have it mailed to you. Most registrars have a "Forgotten Password" feature that will email the password to the owner's email address.
Email Addresses
Let us know what your current email addresses are so we can configure them on our server in preparation of the transfer. This is another critical step in planning for a seamless transfer.
Transferring From Another Web Hosting Company to Us
This process will involve for certain the transfer of your data from your existing site as well as possibly and, most likely, the transfer of email addresses. Here is the most recommended practice to ensure a smooth transfer:
1. Contact us to register your account with Coexist Hosting. You will receive a welcome email with instructions for using your account.
2. Upload your site to our server using the instructions in your welcome email.
3. Create all of the necessary email accounts in your 'Account Manager' through your secure control panel.
4. Log in using the information provided in your welcome email to access your 'Account Manager'. Log into your domain account at your registrar and change your name servers. The registrar is the company that you purchased your domain name from.
